Why Invest in Shear

Discovering diamond deposits can take years, and bringing these from exploration plays to mines can take a considerable amount of time and money. Shear is well ahead in this process with its acquisition in 2010 of Nunavut's first and only diamond mine, the past-producing Jericho diamond mine. Over $300 million was previously invested into Jericho including exploration and infrastructure, and Shear acquired the mine for a substantial discount. Shear's action plan includes systematically evaluating all data prior to committing to mine re-opening. This evaluation will also enable us to better understand the operation and how best to improve it.
